Mental Health Week 2022

Club 90 invites you to #GETREAL with us for Mental Health.

The theme for Mental Health Week is the Importance of Empathy.  All activities at Club 90 unless noted.

Mental Health Week 3

  • Monday, May 2:  Kick-off Jam Session from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm:  Come down and play, sing, or dance to your favourite tunes.  If you have a music instrument, bring it along.  At 6:00 pm, there is Virtual Yoga with Strong Minds.  Register at https://www.thenorthernoutlet.ca/event-details/childrens-mental-health-week-virtual-yoga
  • Tuesday, May 3:  Join Sasha and Skylar at 2:00 pm for an Indigenous presentation on truth and reconcilliation.  At 3:00 pm, there will be an inspirational rock painting workshop.  There will also be an online FASD Presentation with THRIVE at 1:00 pm.  Register at https://algomafamilyservices-org.zoom.us/j/65206024566?pwd=YUtUb0FhMTQzOE96ZUNqTHUxR3FFdz09
  • Wednesday, May 4:  Beginning at 2:00 pm, we will be making bead bracelets at Club 90, or come to Collins hall from 2:00 to 5:00 pm for a Community Mental Health Fair with information booths, presentations by various public health and community services agencies, emergency services displays, and activities for everyone.
  • Thursday, May 5:  Public Relations Officer Phillip Young of the Ontario Provincial Police will make a presentation beginning at 1:00 pm about Internet safety and security.  After the presentation (around 2:30 pm),  we will be making fridge magnets.  Maplegate Women's Centre will make an online presentation on Domestic Violence and Femicide in Ontario at 1:00 pm.  Register at https://us06web.zoom.us/J/84239434705
  • Friday, May 6:  "Switch" it up at 2:00 pm for some fun-filled activities with a variety of games and other fun activities.  Then (weather permitting), at 3:00 pm, we will hold a barbeque out in the parking lot.  #GETREAL, get moving and laughing!
